Spokane Public Facilities District
Project Update - South Block Parking Lot

Project Complete:

On November 11, the Spokane Public Facilities District opened its newest facility – a 330 space parking lot directly across the street from the INB Performing Arts Center. The new facility is surrounded by a masonry perimeter wall, uses solar powered lighting fixtures, features automated pay stations, contains all rain and snow on site in large grassy swales, and (believe it or not) has 115 - 20 foot tall trees!

The District’s Vision 2020 plan calls for the parking lot to be the site of a future Convention Center expansion, but the District Board decided to proceed with the improvement to upgrade the guest experience today. And it works! The lot opened just in time for a 31 performance run of the Lion King and should produce some much needed revenue for the facility and an event experience that will make our guests say WOW!
