• New space must be balanced with hotel inventory
• The current Spokane Convention Center layout adversely affects sales
• Assemble the south block for future Convention Center improvements
• Phase in Convention Center improvements based on market and hotel factors
• First phase is building the surface lot on the south block was completed in 2009
• Next phase is completing the Convention Center's origin vision
